The Madison Capitols of the United States Hockey League (USHL) have traded UMass Lowell River Hawks recruit Ryan Lohin to the Waterloo Black Hawks along with Sam McCormick in exchange for Alex Robertand and Marshall Moise.

The forward joins fellow UMass Lowell recruit and Anaheim Ducks goaltending prospect Garrett Metcalf who was traded earlier in the month to Waterloo.

Lohin is in his second season with the Capitols after becoming the team’s first ever tender at the start of the 2014 season. The forward has 39 points (16g, 23a) over 48 games this season for the Capitols.

The Chadds Ford, Pennsylvania native departs the Capitols as the club’s second all-time leading scorer, with 26 goals and 39 assists for 65 points in 108 games.

Prior to heading to the USHL, Lohin skated for Team Comcast U18 of the Tier 1 Elite Hockey League (T1EHL) where he tallied 68 points (30g, 38a) over 36 games.

Lohin leavings behind fellow UMass Lowell recruit Guillaume Leclerc, the last of the trio of recruits in Madison.
