The UMass Lowell River Hawks may have been edged out by the Northeastern Huskies on Saturday night for the Hockey East championship, but their season isn’t over.

The River Hawks will take on the Yale Bulldogs in the NCAA East Regional Semifinal on Saturday, March 26 at the Times Union Center in Albany, New York. UMass Lowell vs. Yale will follow directly after the Quinnipiac Bobcats takes on the RIT Tigers at 4:30 p.m. eastern. Puck drops for Lowell at 7:30 p.m. on ESPN3.

UMass Lowell was one of six Hockey East schools to make this year’s NCAA National Tournament. It is the first time in conference history that six have made the tournament, previous high was five. The River Hawks are joined by the Providence College Friars, Boston College Eagles, Boston University Terriers, Northeastern Huskies and Notre Dame Fighting Irish.

Northeastern will take on North Dakota on Friday, March 25 at 2:00 p.m. (ESPNU) in the NCAA Midwest Regional Semifinal. Providence College faces the Minnesota-Duluth Bulldogs at 4:30 p.m. (ESPN3) at the DCU Center in Worcester, Massachusetts in the NCAA Northeast Regional Semifinal. Notre Dame takes on the Michigan Wolverines in the NCAA Midwest Regional Semifinal at 5:30 p.m. on ESPNU. Boston College will close out Friday night with a contest against fellow Beanpot school Harvard Crimson at 8:00 p.m. on ESPNU in the other game in the Northeast Regional Semifinals.

Boston University is the only other Hockey East school to play a semifinal contest on Saturday when they take on the Denver Pioneers at 7:30 p.m. (ESPNU) in the NCAA West Regional Semifinal.
