The Lowell Spinners, Class-A affiliate of the Boston Red Sox, have started the 2014 NYPL season off with 9-8 record.

The Spinners return to LeLacheur Park in Lowell, Mass. for a three-game home series against the Connecticut Tigers, Class-A affiliate of the Detroit Tigers, on Tuesday night. Lowell is 2-2 this season against the Tigers and will look to get things back on their side. The Spinners swept the first two-game series and lost both games to the Tigers in their last two-game series.

Tuesday night is Game Show Night at the ballpark followed by Weenie Wednesday ($1.00 hotdogs) the next night. Ian Browne will be on hand on Thursday night to sign copies of his new book “Idiots Revisited,” followed by a post-game fireworks display.

Friday, the Spinners head on the road to Troy, New York to face the Tri-City ValleyCats, Class-A affiliate of the Houston Astros, in a three-game series ending on Sunday.
